What the chart measures
RevPAR is room revenue per available room. Growth is the reported quarterly change against the same quarter a year earlier. The default lens uses global comparable portfolios at constant currency (Accor: like for like). Portfolios and hotel mixes still differ.
NUG is net growth in the reported room portfolio. Trailing 12 months, year to date, and quarter on quarter are separate bases. A full-year result at Q4 covers the same 12-month interval as trailing growth. Acquisition and partnership effects remain included in reported totals unless the observation explicitly says otherwise.
Scope is part of the number
Wyndham’s systemwide RevPAR is shown in its own lens because a comparable-hotel basis has not been verified. Its room-system definition excludes Super 8 China master-license rooms from Q2 2025; the latest pipeline excludes Revo. Hyatt’s hotel RevPAR excludes its separately reported all-inclusive Net Package RevPAR. Marriott’s pipeline includes approved projects without signed contracts; Hyatt reports executed contracts.
Pipeline figures are company-reported development rooms, not forecasts of openings. They cannot be ranked as identical contractual commitments. Operating rooms are the reported portfolio and may include temporarily closed hotels, affiliations, residences or vacation-ownership units according to each company’s definition.
Evidence, gaps & updates
N/A means no verified observation in this edition for the selected basis. It does not mean the company did not publish the figure. Figures qualified as “approximately”, “more than” or “nearly” retain that label. No missing quarters are interpolated and no daily operating changes are invented.
Sources are official earnings releases, investor relations documents and regulatory filings. Each observation records its period, publication date, scope and verification date. History is versioned; future discoveries enter a review queue before approval. Daily monitoring is prepared and has not been activated.
